2-12-26 Spanish Spelling Bee
What an exciting day for our students at the Spanish Spelling Bee 🇪🇸🐝. From the very first word, they brought incredible focus, confidence, and determination to the stage. Each round was filled with cheers, nervous smiles, and so much pride as our spellers showcased their hard work and growing Spanish‑language skills 📚✨.
We loved seeing them support one another, celebrate every success, and push through the tough words with courage. Felicidades to all of our amazing competitors — you represented our school beautifully and made this event one to remember 🎉👏.
2-12-26 Prek 4 Valentine Boxes
Pre‑K 4 got extra crafty today 🎨✨. To celebrate the end of their box unit, our little learners designed their very own Valentine’s boxes — and the creativity was off the charts. From heart‑covered masterpieces to glittery creations that sparkled across the room, each box showed off big imagination in small hands ❤️📦.
The classroom was buzzing with excitement as students cut, glued, decorated, and proudly shared their designs with friends. It was the perfect way to wrap up their box exploration while adding a sweet Valentine’s twist 💕😊.
We love watching their ideas come to life and seeing just how much joy they bring to every project.
2-10-26 Counselor Week
Our school is feeling extra grateful this week as we celebrate School Counselor Week and honor the amazing work of Mrs. Mayfield 💙✨. Every day, she pours kindness, patience, and encouragement into our students, helping them navigate challenges, build confidence, and feel supported in every part of their school journey.
Whether she’s offering a listening ear, teaching important life skills, or cheering on our students’ successes, Mrs. Mayfield makes a difference in ways that reach far beyond the classroom. We are so lucky to have her guiding, uplifting, and caring for our school community 🌟📘.
Thank you, Mrs. Mayfield, for all the heart you bring to our campus — we appreciate you today and every day 💐💛.
1-26-26 Donuts with Dad
Our campus was filled with smiles (and sprinkles) this morning as we celebrated Donuts With Dad 🍩💙. There’s something truly special about watching students light up when they get to share a moment with their dad, grandpa, uncle, or any father figure who shows up just for them.
Events like this remind us how important that connection is — a strong bond between students and the men who support them helps build confidence, motivation, and a sense of belonging. When dads are involved, schools grow stronger, and students feel seen, supported, and celebrated 🙌📚.
Thank you to every dad and father figure who joined us today. Your presence matters more than you know, and we’re grateful for the love and encouragement you pour into our students every day.
1-23-26 100th Day of School
Our campus was full of tiny “senior citizens” today as we celebrated the 100th Day of School 🎉👵👴. Pre‑K and elementary students showed up with canes, curlers, suspenders, glasses, gray hair, and all the personality you’d expect from a group of 100‑year‑olds in training.
The creativity was priceless, the outfits were hilarious, and the smiles were nonstop. We love marking this milestone with a little imagination and a whole lot of fun. Here’s to 100 days of learning, growing, laughing, and making memories — and many more to come 💯❤️.
1-22-26 Runner Club Practice
Our Elementary Runners’ Club has been putting in the miles and the determination — and it all paid off at the Fort Worth Marathon. 🏃♀️🏃♂️💨. After weeks of practicing, encouraging one another, and building their endurance, these young athletes showed up ready to shine.
They ran with confidence, teamwork, and so much heart. We’re incredibly proud of their commitment and the example they set for our school community 🎉👏.

11-3-25 Story Under the Stars Immersive Library Week
✨ Story Under the Stars ✨
This immersive library time was pure magic. Our elementary readers curled up under twinkling lights, surrounded by cozy blankets, glowing lanterns, and shelves full of adventures waiting to be discovered.
There’s something powerful about giving kids the space to read quietly. It’s more than just practicing literacy — it’s a moment for their minds to slow down, breathe, and wander. Quiet reading has been shown to support mental well‑being by reducing stress, building focus, and giving students a calm, safe way to explore their imagination.
Seeing our students so peaceful, engaged, and proud of their stories reminded us why events like this matter. 🌙📚
Here’s to many more days of wonder, calm, and connection through books. #StoryUnderTheStars #LibraryMagic #CCMoss #MentalWellbeing

10-31-25 Storybook Parade
📚✨ Storybook Costume Parade Magic! ✨📚
Our elementary hallways were bursting with color, creativity, and characters today as students stepped into the shoes of their favorite storybook heroes for our annual Storybook Costume Parade! From brave explorers to clever animals to classic fairytale icons, every costume represented a story that has sparked imagination and curiosity.
Events like this aren’t just fun — they’re a powerful way to build a love of reading. When students connect with characters, talk about their books, and proudly share the stories they enjoy, they deepen their comprehension and strengthen their identity as readers. Celebrating books in such a joyful, visual way helps literacy come alive.
Thank you to our families and teachers for supporting this tradition and encouraging our young readers to dive into new adventures, one page at a time. 🌟📖

A huge thank‑you to all the families who joined us for our Parent Open House. The energy, the conversations, and the genuine excitement for learning made the evening truly special. Seeing our hallways filled with parents exploring classrooms, meeting teachers, and celebrating their children’s growth reminded us just how powerful a strong school community can be.
When families and schools come together, students feel supported, confident, and ready to succeed. Open House is one of the best ways to build that connection — it shows students that their learning matters and that we’re all on the same team cheering them on.

9-15-25 Relax and Read
Reading for Calm, Joy, and Connection
In the Christene C. Moss Elementary School Library, reading isn’t just about learning—it’s also a powerful way to support mental health. Taking time to slow down, relax, and enjoy a good book can help students feel more centered and calm during their busy school day.
One of our favorite ways to make reading fun and comforting? Turn down the lights, get out a flashlight, cozy up to the faux campfire, and find a stuffed reading buddy! Whether it’s a bear, bunny, or dragon, these cuddly companions help create a safe, cozy space where students can unwind, build confidence, and let their imaginations soar.
Reading gives kids a moment to breathe, reset, and explore new worlds—all while building emotional resilience. So grab a book, snuggle up with a buddy, and let the stories work their magic.
